The K&S dual-spool copper wire assembly serves as the core wire-feeding component for the copper wire bonding process, utilizing a dual-spool configuration to facilitate rapid wire switching or simultaneous dual-wire operations. Its side-blow unit employs a precision nozzle to continuously deliver shielding gas (such as nitrogen) to the ball-forming and bonding zones; this effectively isolates the area from ambient air to prevent high-temperature oxidation of the copper wire while simultaneously aiding Electronic Flame-Off (EFO) ball formation and stabilizing the wire arc trajectory. Routine maintenance focuses on cleaning the gas delivery system and calibrating spool tension, as obstructions in the gas lines or deviations in tension directly impact bond reliability.
