SMT feeders can be classified in many ways. According to the feeding method, they can be divided into tape, tube, tray and bulk. Tape feeders are used for components such as PLCC and SOIC, tube feeders are used for vibration feeding, tray feeders are suitable for IC integrated circuit components, and bulk feeders are used for MELF and small-outline semiconductor components. The function of the SMT feeder is to load electronic components into the feeder, and then accurately pick them up and mount them on the PCB board through the nozzle of the placement machine. Different types of feeders are suitable for components with different packages. Operational safety: When loading materials, the operator should pay attention to whether the pressure cover of the feeder is fastened to avoid damaging the suction nozzle. At the same time, it is necessary to distinguish between tape and paper tape feeders to avoid poor suction.
Installation inspection: When installing the feeder on the placement machine, make sure that the hook is fastened. If there is any shaking, the feeder should be replaced immediately and the maintenance personnel should be notified to check.
Maintenance: Regularly check whether the fastening screws of the feeder are loose, and regularly add lubricating oil to the transmission part to keep it running well. Clean impurities in parts such as sprockets to keep the feeder clean.
Labels and storage: Other labels cannot be attached to the feeder of the placement machine at will, and the cover cannot be placed at will after use. The feeder that is not used temporarily must be fastened with the upper cover and stored as required.
Special precautions: Any feeder that is found to be missing parts shall not be used. During use, if an abnormal situation occurs, the machine should be stopped in time and the relevant personnel should be notified to handle it.
