Countermeasures
The handling of this issue should follow the principle of "from the outside to the inside, from simplicity to complexity".
Step 1: Preliminary examination and simplified handling
Check and tighten the bolts:
Use a torque wrench to thoroughly inspect and tighten all anchor bolts, module connection bolts, motor fixing bolts, etc. according to the torque requirements specified in the ASM equipment manual. This is the most fundamental and primary task.
Check equipment level:
Use a high-precision level to measure at multiple points on the equipment base. Ensure that the equipment is in an absolute horizontal state (usually requiring ≤ 0.05mm/m). If there is any deviation, adjust the foot screws.
Step 2: Check and optimize equipment parameters
Optimize motion parameters:
Contact ASM service engineer. Do not modify servo parameters on your own.
Describing the phenomenon to engineers, they can suppress vibration by adjusting the gain and filter parameters of the servo drive.
Try to reduce the acceleration and Jerk value appropriately. Although it may slightly affect production capacity, it can greatly reduce impact and vibration. This is a very effective balancing tool.
Step 3: Check and handle the installation foundation
Check the damping components:
Check whether the original vibration damping pads of the equipment are intact, whether they have been crushed or aged. If necessary, replace with new and higher specification vibration damping pads.
Assess the condition of the foundation:
If the above measures are ineffective, the problem is highly likely to lie on the foundation.
Consult a professional civil engineer or ASM installation team to evaluate the equipment foundation. Check whether the thickness and strength of the concrete meet the requirements.
Install a professional vibration isolation platform:
If the foundation strength cannot be changed (such as in existing factories), the most effective solution is to install an active air flotation vibration isolation platform.
Install the entire SMT machine on an air floating platform, which can isolate over 95% of the vibration transmitted to the floor and also isolate the impact of external vibrations on the equipment. This is currently the best solution to solve the resonance problem of high-rise buildings and equipment.
Step 4: Maintenance of equipment mechanical components
Perform major equipment maintenance:
If the equipment has a long service life, it may be necessary to systematically inspect mechanical wear parts.
Check the gap between the guide rail and slider, and replace them if necessary.
Check the backlash of the ball screw and adjust or replace it if necessary.
Check the tension of the belt and adjust it.
This job usually requires a professional equipment maintenance team to perform.
