Product Identification: This component serves as the sensitivity adjustment amplifier for the Blade Breakage Detector (BBD) utilized in DISCO's fully automatic dicing saws. Currently, this component has been superseded by a newer model; the new version features part numbers beginning with "EKFM-" (e.g., EKFM-010078-...) and employs button-operated digital adjustment.
Core Functionality: Operating in conjunction with a through-beam fiber optic sensor, it continuously monitors the attenuation of the optical signal to determine the integrity of the cutting blade in real time. The amplifier converts the received optical signal into a voltage signal, which is then fed into the main circuit board. When the fiber optic signal strength falls within the 90%–99% range, the resulting output voltage is approximately 4.5V.
Compatible Models: According to official DISCO technical documentation, this amplifier is compatible with all 3000-series and 6000-series dicing saws, with the exception of the DFD6750 model.
